144 Watson is a 7-storey apartment building constructed of loadbearing masonry, precast floors, with brick and stone cladding. The project features an enhanced streetscape as well as a naturalized landscape that is connected to an onsite infiltration gallery. In addition to the at-grade patio and rooftop amenity terrace, residents are provided with partially-recessed balconies, capturing views of the surrounding green spaces in their neighbourhood. Special attention was given to the
streetscape to enhance the walking experience and encourage public transit use: this includes a rhythmic series of seat walls with an integrated trellis, as well as enhanced paving and landscaping. The interior design was also inspired by these green spaces, being neutral in colour scheme with hints of light natural wood tones and green accents. The design reflects a transitional style, comfortable for those downsizing while providing modern luxuries within their spacious suites & common spaces.
