525-565 Conestogo

LOCATION   Waterloo, ON

PROJECT TYPE   Master Planning, Mixed-Use

COMPLETION DATE   Ongoing

Situated along the Conestogo Parkway in North Waterloo, the development proposal reimagines a former flooring manufacturing facility as a vibrant, mixed-use neighbourhood. This 8-phase development unites a thoughtful distribution of mixed-use blocks which include 15 buildings ranging from 3-35 storeys in height. 2,500 residential units, 870 jobs within 220,000 sq ft of office/commercial space and significant open spaces in the form of a raised promenade, courtyards, plazas and parkettes for outdoor recreation and amenity.

That this neighbourhood will form an integrated activity node to live, work, and play is further realized through an established physical connection via a pedestrian overpass to the Northfield LRT Station and existing trail systems. The proposal acknowledges that proximity and convenient access to public transit is critical in support of higher densities, healthy living, and vibrant public spaces.

The ZBA/OPA application for the proposal is currently under review.
