Circa 1877 is a 19-storey residential building with a 5-storey podium containing parking and commercial uses. The 188-unit project sits on an urban infill site on King Street South at the southern edge of Uptown Waterloo. ABA worked closely with MHBC and the City of Waterloo to address site conditions including road widenings
for the future LRT and the maintenance of a mutual access lane between our client’s property and the adjoining city property to the south. The design team was able to retain and thoughtfully integrate a historic building at street level which will be home to a new brewpub upon completion of the project.
