Conestoga College Blue Room

The interiors Studio at ABA worked alongside Conestoga College to reimagine the existing Blue Room at the Doon Campus in Kitchener, Ontario. The goal was to expand the space and create a multi-use environment that functioned well for a variety of programming: events, study space, lunchroom collaborative work area, etc. This was achieved using a thoughtful mix of furniture that allowed for a range of seating styles, opportunities to create privacy, introduction of greenery and the convenient power
access throughout. Careful consideration was given to ease the reconfiguration as the use of the room shifts frequently. The design of the room was enhanced with detailed visual texture on the glazing, ceiling and media walls. Warm neutral wood, and accents of deep navy and mustard hues ground the space to make it feel inviting, and versatile for any use.
