ABA’s interior design department was retained by ETAS for the development and customization of their new Waterloo R&D Office. The objective was to create an innovative and inspiring office space which fostered collaboration and flexibility while accommodating the company’s rapid growth. The office includes a range of meeting spaces and enclaves for staff meetings, open collaborative areas throughout the
office to encourage a team-oriented environment, and a 1,000 sq ft lunchroom which includes space for gaming and ping pong for staff. The design was inspired by the client’s vision of a warm, rustic environment and was achieved by the use of custom millwork features, natural wood tones and a neutral palette of black, white and grey.
